My daughter is going to the USA for 1 year. Does the 14 Pro work with American SIM cards without any restrictions? Are the CH iPhones the same as the American ones?

This should not be a problem with modern smartphones. The iPhone should work with the American providers. It is identical in construction. I was able to test this myself this summer when I was in the States.

Yes, the sim cards are the same, it may also work with an e-sim.
