So I would only have to plug one into the router and one into the PC and it works just as well as if it was directly on the router? And is it worth it as a replacement for wifi gaming (I often have problems with wifi)?

For us, the product achieves approx. 400Mbit/s. That is easily enough for gaming. Note, however, that depending on the distance and interference signals, the transmission can also be significantly lower.
