Why can't I connect 2 of these kits together? I need 4 plugs, but I can't connect 2 of them.

The 2nd kit must be "paired" with the 1st; the operating instructions tell you how to do this. Without this safety precaution, your flat neighbour could easily hook into your PLC by purchasing such a kit himself.
