Hello, it is definitely possible to link the scale to 8 different smartphones. These then each have a user account in the Health Mate app. The synchronisation with the Withings Cloud is done either via a linked phone via Bluetooth or via the established WLAN (in the WLAN case, no smartphone is necessary). As far as I know, it is not possible to have several users in the app on one phone. (However, I have not tested this yet - there is the option of adding a new family member in the app).
Withings was bought out by Nokia, but is the same thing
Yes, the Withings Health app is the same app used to set up and sync all other Withings products. (With the exception of the thermometer)
I have had mine since May 2019 and that was a Withings, nothing with Nokia. 1A scale, can only recommend it, especially if you also have other products from Withings (Nokia). An Eco-System

The Nokia and Withings are the same. On my iPhone I have installed the "Health Mate" app (now from Withings, previously from Nokia), and it works great. My scale even got a firmware update six months ago or so. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/withings-health-mate/id542701020 About PWG measurement, I turned it off on mine because I wear an Apple Watch, and find it gives me better info. But it worked well.
