So - I opened the hygiene bottle and measured a dose from mark to mark: 40ml (every 3 weeks).

That's exactly how it is, there are four different scales on the back. For LW 80-81 it is enough for 4 applications, for LW 45 (LW 44) for 8, for LW 25 (LW 24, 31/32, 41/42) for 10 and for LW 15 (LW 14, LB 10/12) for 14.
Why is the product shown as an add-on on the Philipps humidifier? I have now bought this by mistake.

I rather think you bought the wrong humidifier. The hygienic agent would theoretically be correct. VENTA air washers and humidifiers are perfect .... there is nothing better.
Oskar works on a slightly different principle: in Venta air washers, the air is passed over rotating discs, which must be optionally wetted. With Oskar, a fleece absorbs water and leads to evaporation.
I would say: the fluid is not optimal, for me the silver blocks from Stadler have always worked sufficiently. Hope this helps!
I bought the product by mistake because it was suddenly displayed as an "accessory" in the Stadler products. If you want, I can sell you mine for 15.- let me know! :-)
The agent prevents the limescale from sticking to the appliance. All without guarantee: I assume that this agent can also be used for other products - except those with filter mats.
