Does the hotplate also have to be 27cm?

Cast aluminium otherwise no way, the Le Creuset pan is really brilliant, I would buy again in a heartbeat.

It wouldn't be bad, because I don't think the heat is distributed as well inside the pan as it is with a cast aluminium pan.... However, it works well for us with a 25 cm hotplate.
