The Homematic IP Shutter Actuator for branded switches is part of the Homematic IP Smart Home system and enables automated control of roller shutters and awnings via all common tubular motors. After commissioning with an automatic calibration run, individual weekly profiles can be defined, also depending on sunrise and sunset. For example, the roller shutter can be raised on weekdays after sunrise, but not before 6:30 AM. Additionally, a lockout, storm, and heat protection can be implemented in combination with the Homematic IP app and other components. The shutter actuator for branded switches is suitable for installation in standard flush-mounted boxes and can be integrated into existing switch series from leading manufacturers using our adapters. This allows the existing frames and rocker switches to be reused easily. Once installed, the connected shading device can be operated via the Homematic IP app, with the Homematic IP remote control, or traditionally directly through the switch's rocker button. Thanks to the low standby power consumption of a maximum of 0.2 watts, there is no need to worry about ongoing energy costs.
