Brennenstuhl Travel adapter CH plug
I think the duration of the load (heat development) and possibly even the danger of voltage peaks play a role here, which is why I would trust the manufacturer's specifications. If the adapter melts or short-circuits afterwards, nothing is gained. Is there no type 12 cable or plug for the car charger, perhaps in a Swiss branch of the brand?
One fixed adapter https://www.digitec.ch/search?q=Fixadapter - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Digitec (or any other Swiss retailer) is obliged to supply electrical appliances with a Swiss plug. If the appliance is supplied with a foreign plug, a suitable replacement cable should be supplied if the mains cable is pluggable or alternatively if the mains cable is permanently connected, a suitable adapter should be supplied. If the appliance is delivered without a suitable plug, complain to the customer service and insist on a cable or an adapter, free of charge. This travel adapter is on the socket side with Schuko (DE) rated for 16A. But the adpater has an internal fuse to limit it to max 10A. This is due to the type 12 plug. It's quite simple to know what is 16A or not in Switzerland: - a swiss plug (Type 11/12/15) with round pins is limited to max 10A. - a swiss socket Type 12/13/15 with round pins is limited to max 10A. If you need a plug or socket with more then 10A - socket/plug Type 23 or 25 with square pins - socket/plug CEE16 or higher see the following drawing https://www.esti.admin.ch/inhalte/pdf/MUB/Englisch/Info_SEV1011_de-fr-it-en.pdf It is not allowed to use traveladapters for permanent use in Switzerland. Maybe you want to explain the problem you want to solve.
