This item is an injection-molded plastic figure kit. Bandai adds the Gigantosaurus to their "Plannosaurus" dinosaur plastic model series. This series encourages you to learn more about dinosaurs by assembling them yourself from the skeleton. You start with the skeleton assembly, where the dinosaur skeleton is put together piece by piece; the dinosaur build then allows you to attach the outer skin parts to the skeleton. Pliers and glue are not required, making assembly easier as well.

The Gigantosaurus is the largest carnivorous dinosaur, based on the latest model. The hard protrusions above the eyes, covered in keratin and resembling short horns, are realistically depicted. The shape of the neural spines on the back, which were more pronounced than those of the similarly built Tyrannosaurus Rex, is carefully replicated.
