The special feature of the PIKO A-Track geometry is that it requires very few track elements, and the model railroader does not need to install compensating pieces at switches or crossings, which can always lead to an unstable operation of the model railway. The module length of 470 mm is divided into two differently long tracks of 231 mm and 239 mm in the straight section. This is the secret to being able to run parallel tracks over two switches without compensating pieces.

The PIKO A-Track profile is made from a high-quality nickel-silver alloy and is a solid profile track with ideal electrical conductivity even over long distances. The spring steel rail connectors ensure a permanent and secure hold and guarantee good electrical contact at the rail joints. The ties are made from high-quality ABS plastic, which is particularly characterized by high impact resistance, good sound insulation, and resistance to stress cracking.
