The thirteen-meter-long Tyrannosaurus Rex was a bipedal carnivore. With its powerful head and nearly 20-centimeter-long teeth, this dinosaur was an extremely impressive contemporary.

Although the Tyrannosaurus Rex looked quite threatening, it could hardly use its forelimbs, which were armed with only two claws, as they did not even reach its mouth. Standing almost seven meters tall and measuring thirteen meters long, the Tyrannosaurus Rex was likely not a very agile hunter, but rather a scavenger that probably lived off the remains of other animals. It had more than fifty teeth, each longer than 15 centimeters, which it used not for chewing but for tearing, as it swallowed its food in large chunks. To enhance depth perception while foraging for food, the eyes of the Tyrannosaurus Rex were positioned forward, allowing the fields of vision of both eyes to overlap.
