The Braun Series 9 generations differ mainly in shaving foil efficiency, Pro-Lift trimmer and accessories. The Series 9 Pro+ (latest) offers thinner blades and improved skin closeness, while the Series 9 Pro introduced the Pro-Lift trimmer for flat lying hairs. The original Series 9 (92xx) is older, but all utilise 5 clipper elements. (from the Braun website)

Yes, there is a suitable cleaning station for the Series 9 PRO+ (9615s). Unfortunately, this is currently not available: https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s6/product/braun-reinigungsstation-1-x-zubehoer-haarentfernung-16387501 Link to the cleaning station. We are currently unable to offer the 6-in-1 SmartCare cleaning station as a separate accessory.

The existing cleaning stations of earlier Series 9 models are not compatible with this model. For this appliance, you need a special cleaning station of the newer generation that is explicitly approved for Series 9 Pro+ or for models such as 9510s.

The main difference between the Braun Series 9 Pro+ 9615s and the 9517s lies in the features and scope of delivery. The 9615s is a high-quality foil shaver for wet and dry shaving with up to 60 minutes of battery life, moving parts for contour adjustment and cleaning under water, but without a cleaning station or additional attachments included. The 9517s also offers wet and dry shaving with 60 minutes of runtime, but also comes with a charging station, a travel case and a cleaning brush. It has the improved Precision ProLift trimmer and a PowerCase charging case that can charge the shaver for up to 6 weeks. In addition, the shaving head has multiple bearings for better adjustment and a closer shave. To summarise: - 9615s: No cleaning kit, no charging station, cleaning under water possible, standard battery life 60 min. - 9517s: Includes charging station, travel case, cleaning brush, PowerCase for up to 6 weeks charging, improved ProLift trimmer, multi-moving shaving head for better adjustment. Both models have similar shaving performance and battery life, but differ mainly in the accessories and some technical details for shaving precision and comfort.

Select the appropriate scope of delivery. I also bought mine without the cleaning station. The shaver type itself always remains the same.

The Series 9 Pro+ shaver is not compatible with all cleaning stations. Some Series 9 Pro+ models, especially the Solo models, are not compatible with cleaning stations. For example, the Braun Series 8 and Series 9 cleaning station, type 5430, is only compatible with certain Series 8 and Series 9 models, but not with older or certain Solo Series 9 Pro+ devices. It is important to check the specific model number to ensure compatibility.

The Braun Series 9 Pro+ is not compatible with the cleaning station from the old Braun Series 9. The cleaning stations for the Series 9 Pro+ are specially designed for these models and do not work with older Series 9 models. The cleaning stations for the Series 9 Pro+ often offer advanced functions such as a 6-in-1 cleaning station that is specially designed for these models.

You are well served with the Braun Series 9 Pro+, even if you want a 3-day beard. Here are some reasons why this product is suitable for your needs: - The shaver has 5 synchronised shaving elements, including the ProLift blade design that lifts and cuts long and flat lying hairs, which is also very useful for a 3-day beard. - The integrated ProTrimmer with surgical stainless steel is particularly efficient for trimming and shaping beards and moustaches, helping you to groom and shape your beard instead of shaving it off completely. - The shaver is suitable for both dry and wet shaving, giving you flexibility when grooming your beard. This means you can use the Braun Series 9 Pro+ for a close shave as well as trimming and grooming your beard.

According to the homepage, you can read about your question under 'Guide': Waterproof electric shavers: Whether you prefer wet or dry shaving, the ability to shave in or out of the shower is a useful innovation. From the Series 1 to the Braun Series 9 Pro, our foil shavers are 100% waterproof. This makes cleaning your shaver easy and allows you to shave with or without foam or gel. If you find that shaving in the shower is the right method for you, the Braun Series 3 with its IPX7 certification ensures that you no longer have to worry. This means you could submerge your electric shaver 5 metres underwater, although we doubt you'll need to test that. The Braun Series 9 Pro (+) is also waterproof up to 5 metres, so you can submerge it without worry. My opinion on this: I think shaving in front of the mirror gives a much better shave than in the shower! 😉
