25 years of Digitec Galaxus – our anniversary overview

Digitec Galaxus is celebrating 25 years of existence. In our magazine, we’ll be taking a look at the past as well as the future. You’ll find all related articles here.

In 2001, digitec.ch was born – an online shop that made PC geeks’ hearts beat faster. In 2012, Galaxus joined in as a general retailer, offering «pretty much everything».

Milestones in our history

My colleague Manuel Wenk has taken on the role of our in-house historian. He’s unearthed some interesting artefacts in the process, such as screenshots of the first few iterations of the digitec.ch website. Curious to know how a 25-square-metre office spawned a major online retailer? You’ll find the story below.

More anniversary content on LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram

You can also follow Digitec and Galaxus on social media platforms. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be making the odd anniversary post on LinkedIn. The same goes for Instagram and TikTok – where you can expect a healthy dose of humour.

This article will be updated continuously. All content published in connection with our 25-year anniversary will be linked here.
