iOS 17 users complain about reachability bug - which could be precarious
As Reddit users write, there is apparently an undiscovered bug in iOS 17 that causes the iPhone to crash at night without any user intervention. The reports have become more frequent, especially, but not only, on Monday night. This may be a problem.
A problematic iOS bug is currently making headlines. Many users' iPhones are crashing at night. The device then restarts. At first it looks as if the phone has installed an update overnight. However, this is not the case.

The problem apparently affects both older and current iPhone models, including the iPhone 15 series. Most of them were in charging mode. This phenomenon also occurred again overnight, although not to the same extent as on Monday. Provisional workaround: To be on the safe side, you should deactivate the SIM PIN if you urgently need to be reachable at night.
Apple has not yet commented on this or announced a bug fix via an update.
