I had found it. The serum that made my eyelashes grow like crazy. Volume, length - everything was there. Unfortunately, the edges of my eyelids were also red where I had applied the product. Revitalash was gone, but the longing for long lashes remained. That's why I decided to try a new eyelash serum and tested the Eyelash Activating Serum from the brand M2 Beauté for over 17 weeks. I always applied it in the evening on cleansed skin and only on the upper lash line. According to the manufacturer, it ensures "significantly longer, thicker and well-groomed lashes". The maximum growth potential is said to be reached after 16 weeks.

My before and after photos should show whether the product has delivered on its promise.

Find the difference

The difference doesn't really stand out. On closer inspection, I can see that a few lashes at the outer corner of the eye are longer than before application. However, the result seems very sobering when viewed over the entire lash line.

Since my lashes are naturally light and fine, this first impression could be deceiving me. To be on the safe side, I emphasised and photographed my lashes with mascara so that even subtle differences would be visible. In order not to distort the result, I used the same mascara for both the before and after pictures.

The density comes into its own with mascara. It has visibly increased. In terms of length, the result actually falls short of my expectations. There really hasn't been much change.

Tricky packaging

The packaging is also disappointing. The plastic packaging cracked after just a few days and is the size of a mascara. Compared to other eyelash serums, it is almost twice as thick and twice as big. Impractical for travelling or on the go. My Revitalash was so small that I could carry it around with me in my purse. The XL format of M2 Beauté, on the other hand, makes it difficult to apply the serum precisely: The application brush is too short, while the plastic stick to which it is attached is too long and too wide. As a result, the transition from the plastic to the brush grazes the skin during application. In addition, the milky liquid is extremely difficult to dispense. A tiny amount per application is enough, especially as the serum would otherwise run into the eye and sting. However, the applicator drips and the amount of serum that sticks to it is enough for at least 30 applications.

Conclusion

My lashes have gained more density than length. In terms of length, however, I had hoped for a significant difference. Added to this is the poor packaging. I wouldn't buy this product again at this price. I didn't get red eyelid edges here, but unfortunately I didn't get the result I was hoping for either.
