The Über-Gameboy is coming in 2020!
Retro gaming specialist Analogue announces the Super Gameboy for 2020. With an adapter, the Analogue Pocket can run games from other handhelds as well as Gameboy games.
A new take on a classic
The Nintendo Gameboy turned 30 this year, but the Japanese hardware manufacturer has long since discontinued its production. Nevertheless, retro games and the Gameboy are still extremely popular. Analogue has recognised this trend and is launching what it describes as the "ultimate Gameboy", the Analogue Pocket, on the market next year.
Dedicated Gameboy fans (like me) are already beating faster at the sight of the new gadget. You can finally play all your old Gameboy games again. And they look even better on the Analogue Pocket. It comes in either white or black, but still offers the unmistakable shapes of a classic Gameboy. Together with the minimalist design and the shiny screen, retro fans will feel transported back to their childhood.
An ode to the Gameboy
New indie games are also to be added to the Analogue Pocket. Plus, it also has an integrated music synthesiser and sequencer called "Nanoloop" for "music creation and live performance". How cool is that?
