Probably the BIOS version is not the latest one,
But you can easily update the BIOS with the EZ Update Software from ASUS available on the ASUS homepage.

Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about it. There were delays on the part of the manufacturer with the delivery to Switzerland. Some of the goods arrived today.

This mainboard supports DDR4-3200 (but not DDR4-3600).

I use this with Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x, 8GB, DDR4-3200, DIMM 288) and works fine for me at 3200 MHz.
Is it still worth buying this mainboard?
- From my point of view, this depends mainly on which CPU you want to buy. For a new PC, I would buy the 3rd generation Ryzen CPUs. However, according to the previous link, only 1st and 2nd generation is supported. I would therefore no longer buy this mainboard for a new PC.
- For a high-end mainboard, I currently find mainboards with X570 chipset more interesting (e.g. because of PCI4).
- If it is for a replacmenet in an existing PC (e.g. with Ryzen 1st gen), this can be interesting.

Why don't you buy an AMD Ryzen 2700X instead? It costs 39 CHF more, but it has better performance and comes with a fan.

You can save a lot of money! So: do you really need a Blu-ray drive? You don't need any extra thermal paste. 600 is already enough for the power supply. For example, the Be quiet! Pure Power 10. Ryzen doesn't need a lot of cooling power, so a Be quiet! Pure is sufficient. I would recommend a Ryzen 1700 even without X, because there is not much difference between the 1700 and the 1800 except for the clock speed. That's why it's better to get a Ryzen 1700 and, for example, an MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard.

The mainboard is overkill!
The Corsair fan will not work because the case has the SP installed and the LL are other models that are controlled differently and require a different controller.
The monitor only has 75Hz, better buy one with 144Hz: ASUS VG248QE (24", 1920x1080)
The keyboard only glows blue, if RGB is important to you I would advise another keyboard, for example: Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro L RGB (USB, CH, cable, MX-Red)
If you want to drive uniformly take the motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX X370-F GAMING (AM4, AMD X370, ATX)
If you really want a water cooling system, you can also go for the normal Masterliquid and buy 3 additional SP fans (one for the back, two for the radiator). You can then control all the SP fans synchronously with the controller that comes with the Corsair 570X.
For the graphics card, I would go for this model because of availability (it's also Asus): ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 STRIX A8G-GAMING (8GB, High End)

Hello, I think your list is generally quite good. However, I would like to make a few improvements. I think the cooling is okay, of course you can sell a better cooling system. But this will cost more. I think a DVD drive is unnecessary, buy an m.2 ssd (960 EVO, for example) instead. I would also have recommended a different case. I think the NZXT Source 340 Elite is great.
there are 3 buttons at the bottom left, one of which should be for the bios reset. try this. you can look up the error code in the manual.
Update:
Alright guys, we finally got the bios which prevents the bricking from happening. I still recommend playing it safe on the CPU SOC Voltage, something like 1.15V should be good on this and work for any DRAM frequency. Remember to go defaults or lower on the CPU SOC Voltage before flashing (or use USB BIOS Flashback).

You only need the 4 pin for extreme overclocking. The 8 pin is perfectly sufficient if you want to overclock (should be sufficient up to 4 GHz).
