This printer is misclassified. Although it is obviously an ink tank printer, it is shown as an ink cartridge printer. This means that it is not found in a search for ink tank printers. Please correct !

Does this printer have duplex scanning?

I'm asking you for help and have a question as to whether this is also the case for you: My printer automatically starts chattering and rattling exactly 30 seconds after a print job (cleaning? locking the print head? ink flushing?), which then lasts 44 seconds. And this happens EVERY time a print job is paused for 30 seconds afterwards. So if I want to print several documents individually and I need more than 30 seconds to find the next document and start printing, then I have to wait 44 seconds. And if I print out a print job 100 times a day, the jumble also appears 100 times a day 30 seconds later, even if I have only printed 1 sheet. Not only is this a colossal pain in the arse and keeps blocking my workflow because it forces me to wait, it also seems completely unnecessary and probably wastes ink. Once in a while is okay, but not dozens of times a day after every print job, even if it's only 1 sheet. Is this the same for you or is my Canon GX 7050 defective? So far I have only received terse general answers from Canon Service and no concrete answer to the question of whether it is normal for the printer to jam every time. I suspect and hope that I have a faulty device and that this is not normal otherwise I will soon go mad from the constant noise... So please let me know if this is also the case for you. Does the Canon MAXIFY GX7050 also have a photo tray or can it be printed in photo format?

Do the duplex scanned documents come out at an angle, as with the HP OfficeJet Pro 9132e? With the HP I had to measure each page with the inch stok "wood metre" so that the duplex scans appear straight on the pc etc.!

Hello, the GX7050 says you can print up to 14000 colour pages. I reckon I would need about 10 years for that. Is this a problem for the ink? Does it dry out at some point?

I have just installed a GX7050. Everything works so far. However, the printer smears the pages facing forwards when duplex printing. The printout shows the text image and a shadow of the same text offset approx. 2cm downwards. This looks like a problem that occurs when refeeding. The same thing happens with more pages - always only on the side facing forwards - but the soiling is slightly heavier. I have set the printer to duplex printing by default. These are the first pages I ever print. What can I do to stop this problem?

I have problems with printing pure magenta and cyan. Magenta prints reddish brown, cyan prints darker blue. I print from the iMac PDF The PDFs are printer compliant. It has been cleaned, and a test pattern printed, and printed directly from Openoffice by Apache. Everything is OK there. I have reported it to Canon, but they seem to want me to waste my ink and cleaning cartridge. Apparently they have no idea why this is happening. I must have created over 50 PDFs with different settings, but the colours are always printed incorrectly. I hope someone knows which profile or settings to use. My PDFs are printed correctly at my workplace with a large laser Konica copier.

The printer has 2 paper trays. Can I load A5 paper in one tray and A4 paper in the other (both plain paper) and then alternatively select duplex printing on both trays, or does duplex printing only work with paper from a specific tray ?

Hello all, Can anyone answer the following from their own experience? Does the printer recognise at an early stage or inform you with enough advance notice when consumables need to be replaced, i.e. ink needs to be refilled or the maintenance cartridge needs to be replaced? Do I then have enough time to order replacements or does printing stop at relatively short notice?

Can the GX7050 do direct, standalone scan-to-cloud without the need for a PC? If so, which clouds are supported?

Why does this printer say ink cartridge? But the picture shows an ink tank like the one on the Canon Maxify GX6050.
