I have paired my Playbar (with extensions to 5.1 sound system) with the LG OLED TV. Works well so far. However, the set-up was a bit tedious and only worked after I had reconfigured the TV from location CH to location DE. Only then was it possible to set the Magic Remote so that it also sends IR signals and can thus control the Sonos Playbar. Here is the link to the Sonos homepage, but as I said, the solution described only works if the LG OLED TV is not configured with location CH, but only after changing to DE. https://sonos-de.custhelp.com/app...

Take a look at OLED here: https://www.digitec.ch/de... as each pixel is controlled/switched off individually, this technology is suitable for maximum contrast ("absolute black") when it is dark in the film/game. Samsung wants to catch up with their LCDs and has equipped the premium devices of the 2018 QLED series (i.e. only the 9FN models) with 480 LEDs distributed over the entire panel instead of the usual illumination from the edge, the others (8FN, 7FN or older ones like 8F, 7F) still only have the edge lighting available. http://www.computerbild.de/artikel... I bought both the LG OLED55C7 and the Samsung QE557FN in the summer, the LG - picture is absolutely unbeatable and offers the best picture of 5 UHD devices I run (both in terms of contrast and blackness, but it is also very bright in daylight, which is often not expected from OLEDs). Besides that, the sound is also worth mentioning: Boom-bastic - absolutely no soundbar needed here in a 20sqm room! The only disadvantage is that for timeshift you have to connect a full-blown HDD, USB sticks or SDDs are NOT accepted (but for about 60CHF you can already get 1TB from seagate in 2.5" format). Samsung has nice gadgets like Ambience Mode, but if you want picture quality that's close to OLED (but will still be a bit weaker, and the sound won't keep up) you'll have to look at the 9FNs, but they're beyond the 3kCHF mark-.

Yes, you can mount the OLED55C7 on a wall bracket. The device has VESA 300x300 mm mounting holes on the back that are compatible with standard wall mounts. You will need a VESA-compatible wall mount that is suitable for 55-inch TVs and supports the 300x300 mm VESA pattern. There are various options such as flat mounts, tilting or swivelling mounts from third-party suppliers that meet this standard.

It is possible to display pictures and videos from the library via an LG app, but it is not that great. The TV supports "real" screen mirroring only with Android. With the iPhone, you need the Apple TV for this.

I have had my TV for about 3 months and have had no problems so far. Important note: OLED burn-ins are usually only temporary. In standard applications (TV, Netflix, etc.) there is always a screen saver, so the danger is relatively low. I can't say what the situation is with HDMI, I think the risk is greater there. But as mentioned above, if it came to that, it would only be temporary.

The TV has several connections that go against the wall, so I wouldn't go closer than 5-7 cm. One of four hdmi, the network cable and the optical sound cable. So if only 1-3 hdmi are connected, you can get closer to the wall or at best you can do something with angled cables. The "Vogels WALL 2215" fits. The TV can only be tilted downwards. It is too hard to engage and disengage. Mounting is easy.
