Lindy HDMI Splitter Compact 2 Port
Lindy HDMI Splitter Compact 2 Port
This connector duplicates the image and does not expand it. However, two different images cannot be transmitted via an HDMI connection. This would have to be done via a second video port (HDMI, DVI, Displayport...) or via an adapter on the USB-C or Thunderbolt port.
This did not work for me because the splitter only duplicates the picture and does not upscale anything. My AV receiver can only do 1080p and that's why the TV only got 1080p. Solution: if the AV receiver has a TOS link input and the TV has a corresponding output, then use a cable like this: LogiLink CA Toslink (5m, Entry, Optical) The A/V signal then goes via HDMI to the TV and from there to the receiver (audio only). I now use the splitter to send the video signal to the TV and the projector at the same time.
I have 0.5m on one side and 15m on the other and have not noticed any deterioration in quality. However, it should be noted that I "only" use Full HD and not 4K.
My experience: The splitter must be constantly supplied with voltage from the power supply unit. (Only then connect the HDMI cable of the source. Keep the HDMI cable between the source and the splitter as short as possible <=0.5m.
How do you mean "accidentally" ??? As a hoped-for consequence of use or as an unintentional, sporadically occurring error? According to the manufacturer's website, the Lindy HDMI Splitter Compact 2 Port is HDCP compatible. see: https://www.lindy.de/HDMI-Splitter-Compact-2-Port-4K-30Hz.htm?websale8=ld0101&pi=38157
Switching the signal output is not possible. The signal would therefore always be sent to the TV and the projector. However, if you have simply switched off one of the two devices, it should work.
Yes, but HDMI 1.4. Supports FullHD 1080p 60Hz and 4K resolution up to 30Hz (4096/3840 x 2160p24/30) More info at: https://www.lindy.fr/Splitter-HDMI-Compact-2-Ports-4K-30-Hz.htm?websale8=ld0101.ld030103&pi=38157&ci=20
Hello The unit should automatically split the input signal into two output signals if it is powered via USB. If you want to split manually, you would need something like this: LINK2GO HDMI Switch Cable Greetings
"No. A splitter puts one image on two displays. It shows the exact same picture on both displays. Screen expansion is not possible via HDMI."
I have used it to connect a computer to 2 screens simultaneously and it worked well. I have used it to connect a computer to two screens simultaneously and it worked fine. However, it makes the same image on both screens and not two separate "desktops".
no, the other way round. you can output the picture from one source on two monitors. For the other way around, just look for a monitor with 2 hdmi inputs.

No idea, but it works for 2 TV sets
