I also had the same problem. Before the installation I had great reception and after the installation (exactly according to the installation instructions), the reception was bad. When I removed the earth cable, the reception was great again!

This is certainly possible if you ensure the power supply (12 V), but I suspect that the sound quality will not satisfy you, as there is probably no high-quality audiophile digital-to-analogue converter installed.

The antenna is about 20cm long and practically invisible. I have mounted the receiver with the antenna on the back of a side window, discreetly and not disturbing. Regarding your question: I think every receiver needs an antenna, whether digital or analogue.

Hello, I have been using this product very well for a few years now. At first I had great difficulties, but since I connected with AUX, I have good DAB reception. I couldn't get anything working without AUX either.

For the Bluetooth connection, the general Bluetooth audio channel must be set on the Highway-400 receiver (source--> BT music). The receiver then functions like normal Bluetooth headphones, all signals that would actually go through the loudspeakers of the mobile phone then go to the device via Bluetooth. To find out whether Audible has a setting that prevents playback via Bluetooth, it is best to ask Audible's customer service.

The control unit (picture) is powered by two supplied AA batteries (no cable!) and needs only little current. The other parts (especially the antenna) are supplied with power via the 12V connection ("cigarette lighter") of the car. Actually quite clever, so the cables can also be hidden reasonably well.

We are a garage business and have often installed such Highway 400s. It is important that the vehicle has an AUX connection. The installation is difficult to estimate, as this is different for every vehicle. Yesterday (yes, yesterday on Sunday!!!) we installed such a thing on a Toyota Prius 3 and needed approx. 1 hour, which means costs of approx. 160.- Fr. Any garage should be able to install it.

Hello, as far as I know, the 400 can't do that. Only play music via mobile phone. For the handsfree you need the 600. Greetings Mario
