This is the 10th time I've ordered something from you and it doesn't come with a Swiss cable! When will you finally get it right? Is it my job to organise a Swiss cable when I buy a product in a Swiss shop? I think not! Gopfertellinomal

Yes, it seems a bit strange sometimes. Sometimes a Swiss cable is included, sometimes not. A matter of luck...

Is it now supplied with a Swiss plug? If not, what does the mains connection look like on the unit side?

As a customer, it's quite simple... Digitec (or any other Swiss retailer) is obliged to supply electrical appliances with a Swiss plug. If the appliance comes with a foreign plug, a suitable replacement cable should be supplied if the mains cable is pluggable or alternatively if the mains cable is permanently connected, a suitable adapter should be supplied. If the appliance is delivered without a suitable plug, complain to the customer service and insist on a cable or an adapter, free of charge. I am not quite sure if the following cable would fit. Max Hauri apparatus cable (0.50 m) Otherwise, you would have to go to the trouble of elaborating on "power cable" a bit more.

Hello Digitec Team, can you possibly help me? My simple access points do not work with this switch (POE+). I have access point TL-WA1201. Everything works with the enclosed "power supply" boxes, but unfortunately no power comes out of the switch, and no POE LED lights up. LG Nico

Hi Ports 1-4 should provide POE... the 5 I have connected to the gateway/router.... Are you sure the switch is ON? Cable to POE device in port 1-4 and in both devices correctly inside? On the access point side in the correct port? Power inside correctly? Plug in the socket and the small one correctly in the device? Another cable tested? If you have a meter and are not sure if the switch is on, measure the power supply... I have had broken power supplies in the past.... but not yet with this product... Test systematically... change one thing at a time and start with the power supply...

Is this switch PoE Pass Through capable? In other words, can I only operate the switch itself via a cable (without an external power supply)?

No, it has to be powered externally. If you're looking for something like this, the Ubiquiti UnifiFlex might be the right choice.

For me as a network layman: can I connect this switch to an Ethernet socket in the wall (which is connected to the router), and thus "split" this Ethernet connection to several devices (e.g. a desktop computer and a Swisscom TV box)?

Yes, that is the function of a switch. But... a) Do you really need PoE? b) I don't know if the Swisscom TV box still works like this, or if this fix has to be connected to a port of the Swisscom router. Basically, you can do what you want. At least with e.g. two PCs

Has anyone already got Swisscom TV running with the TL-SG1005P? According to the description at TP-LINK, the switch should support IGMP snooping. However, the picture stops after a few seconds. Merci for the help! @digitec.ch: Please note in the description that only a SCHUKO cable is included. Or even better: Include a CH cable!!!
