The cause is a bug in the firmware. The delivered firmware does not accept special characters. Download the new firmware version: 5.1.8 150311Release Date: 08/2015 from "http://www.trendnet.com/support/supportdetail.asp?prod=190_TV-IP310PI". Then connect to the web interface and import the downloaded file under Advanced > System > Maintenance > Remote Upgrade. Afterwards, special characters in the new password will also work.
I don't know the exact wavelength now, but the LEDs light up visibly.
If I want to connect 3 of these cameras to my Synology Disk via PoE, what else do I need in between?
3 power injectors or a PoE-capable switch. In addition, a licence for the third camera. As far as I know, the Syno only has 2 cameras unlocked...
I ordered mine almost 2 years ago and at that time it was version 1.0. It is quite possible that it is v1.1 today.
you need a powered RJ45 (PoE), I didn't have one and I bought the small transformer (PoE Injector)
The problem could be solved with the Hikvision plug-in for Safari. Plug-in V3.0.5.43 build20160118for Mac OS http://www.hikvision.com/europe/Tools_82.html#prettyPhoto
Yes. We have connected the camera with power supply only via the network cable. So it does not need the power cable.
yes, that is correct. it is a poe camera.
Yes, the camera can do this itself. It can be configured via the camera's web interface. The camera then pushes the snapshots according to the schedule or when defined events occur (e.g. movement in image sectors) directly to the defined FTP server. Details here on page 50: http://downloads.trendnet.com/TV-IP310PI/Manuals/UG_TV-IP310PI(v1.0R)_V1.0.pdf
The camera is connected via a network cable. An RJ45 cable is required and a wireless connection is not possible.
A switch that has a PoE port or a PoE injector (e.g. https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/Product/304650)
The plug does not fit in the base. The cables are about 25 - 35 cm long. It has been a while since I installed the camera. We installed the camera with power supply via the mains cable.
