This primary lithium battery is suitable for smoke detectors, alarm and security devices, as well as other applications that require low continuous currents with superimposed pulses. All cells are hermetically sealed in stainless steel cups, providing a low magnetic signature and extreme resistance to atmospheric corrosion. For more information on series or parallel connections of more than one cell, please refer to the datasheet. Do not solder directly to the cell; instead, use solder tab versions. The operating temperature ranges from -60 °C to +85 °C. The package consists of three 1/2 AA cells (with UL approval) connected in series. The component cells feature a stainless steel housing and a hermetic glass-metal seal, as well as a plastic sleeve for the battery compartment and miniaturized locking terminals. The battery contains a non-flammable electrolyte and is not subject to transport restrictions. Typical applications include energy storage buffering, alarm and security devices, smoke detectors, alarm technology, industrial electronics, and medical devices.
