Can anyone tell me if these batteries are rechargeable? They are listed in the category "battery + charger". Thank you very much.
PS: A clear labelling of non-rechargeable vs. rechargeable batteries would be very appreciated.
I recently bought a 5-pack of these button cells. There is nothing on the packaging about "rechargeable" (rechargeable batteries are usually clearly labelled). Also from the price point of view, I think rechargeable batteries should be more expensive.
If you google "rechargeable button cells" you will find clearly labelled products. Non-rechargeable button cells have e.g. the designation CR2032 (C=lithium battery, R=round cell, '20'=20mm diameter and '3,2'=3,2mm height). Rechargeable button cells have the designation LIR2032 (LIR = Lithium Ion Rechargeable), for example. However, the cell voltage of the rechargeable "LIR" variant is 3.6 volts, which is 20 % greater than that of the disposable "CR" variant, so they cannot necessarily be interchanged.
These CR2032 from GP Batteries were probably wrongly classified in the category "rechargeable battery + charger".
