For me, audio via iPhone and Airplay 2 on Apple TV and Homepods is not in sync. Apple TV is always slightly out of sync with the two Homepods (latency of a fraction of a second). Via Mac (Airfoil) everything is in sync. Do you have the same experience?

I've been using my third Apple TV over the years, but I haven't used Airplay for years because there are better connections. For example, I use the brilliant app INFUSE or INFUSE PRO to stream films from my Synolgy Nas. Infuse can also stream from any PC in the network or directly from an iPhone/iPad, or from a page on the internet. I really don't miss Airplay.

Infuse is available in the App Store as well as an app for Apple TV and is also available in a free version, with restrictions of course.

We are very happy with our Apple TV, we have connected our 6 year old Philips TV with our Nas, the sound is transmitted via our Sonos system. To connect these 3 different components together, we used the Apple TV, simply great, no interference, I can recommend it to everyone.
