Thank you for your answer, Anonymous! as I bought a home cinema system 10 years ago (Pioneer BCS-FS500, at that time CHF 973.00 with everything!), the following questions arise for me: - would this home cinema system be compatible with this TV? - does it even make sense to connect an (outdated) home cinema system to a new TV (what has been the progress of home cinema systems in the last 10 years)? Would it make more sense to buy a new home cinema system to go with a new TV (even though it cost a lot)? If you write that the direct comparison is not too big, I can imagine leaving out the home cinema (also looks better in my flat without subwoofer etc..). On the other hand, I like it when you can enjoy a good sound system with a movie. 🤔
Hello, the old Pioneer system is only a 2.1 system (2 front and 1 sub). If this is enough for you, the Pioneer system is certainly still good to use. However, if you want to listen to 5.1 or 7.1, the time of this system has unfortunately expired and a replacement is due.
What I cannot recommend under any circumstances is to use the speakers built into the TV. Although newer technology (screen vibrates and thus generates sound waves) a standard speaker (and also your old system) is worlds better.
