How long is the refrigerant hose?

avatar

The refrigerant hose is 2 metres long and 2.7 cm high and cannot be disconnected. This length enables the connection between the indoor and outdoor units of the air conditioning system.

This is certainly not entirely inconvenient, but it is also possible in principle, as the outdoor station can be easily placed on the indoor station and moved to another room using the castors. The outer frame can be briefly loosened with two knurled screws and then reattached and the outdoor station can be mounted again.

According to my research, your appliance is working technically correctly. The lower efficiency at +19 °C is normal because the heat pump is not optimised for continuous operation at minimum output. The full COP is only achieved with typical heating loads (e.g. +2 °C outside temperature). For more detailed information, I recommend that you contact the manufacturer directly. You can find the contact details under the following link: https://www.midea.com/de/support/kontaktformular

Helpful answer
Just check with the supplier who sells you your electricity: In my case, this is the St. Galler Stadtwerke SGSW with a basic price of 8.50 per month/meter plus the price per kWh of 28 cents low tariff, 35 cents high tariff with an average consumption of 200kWh (according to Midea) this would amount to about 65.- in electricity costs. ( without basic price of 8.50.-) I hope I was able to help you...

The connecting hoses of the air conditioning system are not fitted with a quick-release coupling and cannot be disconnected. The coolant hose between the indoor and outdoor units is permanently connected and is part of a closed circuit that cannot be disconnected or extended.

We work with daily prices, which can be influenced by various factors such as purchasing conditions, stock levels and supply and demand. It is therefore difficult to compare us with the competition, especially abroad.

Our prices may differ from other competitors or from the manufacturer. There may be various reasons for this, such as higher purchase prices for smaller quantities or additional import costs. We try to set a price in line with the market, but this is not always possible for us. https://www.galaxus.ch/de/wiki/6028

The seal is made with a fabric strip with zip and a self-adhesive tape (with Velcro) which is stuck directly onto the window frame. The two parts are then joined together (Velcro fastener) and the cooling hose is threaded in. The roll of adhesive tape and the fabric tape are very long. It should also be long enough for large door and window sashes.

Salut etienne. I was also amazed at how much the prices vary. It seems to me that the natural supply/demand situation increases for every day that is above 30 degrees. It seems difficult to slow down scalpers. Whether this is expedient also remains questionable. In my opinion, there are two sides to scalping: On the one hand the sellers of overpriced products and on the other hand the customers who are willing to pay inflated prices. Personally, I try to buy a little in advance: e.g. heating oil in summer, the convertible in winter. As long as people don't think ahead, scalpers have their customers...
