Polymer-Coated Inner Cables

The secret lies in a polymer coating that, under a microscope, resembles tubes wrapped around the cable. This reduces the surface area that rubs against the inner housing. Additionally, the grease lasts longer. The main advantages are significantly reduced effort when shifting and the sensation of faster gear changes.
