Polymer-Coated Inner Cables

The secret lies in a polymer coating that appears like wrapped tubes under a microscope. This results in a reduced surface area that rubs against the inner housing. Additionally, the lubricant lasts longer. The main advantages are significantly reduced effort when shifting and the sensation of faster gear changes.
