Anti-slip shank with three milled clamping surfaces prevents the drill bit from spinning in the chuck (from Ø 5.0 mm). The core diameter increases constantly in the shank direction for maximum breaking stability in freehand use (from Ø 4.8 mm).

The Extreme 2 is the specialist for freehand drilling in thin-walled materials. The iron oxide alloy effectively protects against overheating, providing up to 50% increased breaking stability. It starts immediately upon application, eliminating the need for center punching.

The abrasion-resistant size markings, placed outside the clamping area, ensure permanently good legibility (from Ø 5.0 mm). The drill produces circular holes with clean, virtually burr-free edges. The Extreme 2 center point enables precise spot drilling without running, and the specially ground shoulder cutting edges mill exact, circular holes with clean edges (from Ø 4.8 mm).

Application examples include drilling sheet metal and thin-walled profile materials (as well as pipes without pre-coring) where precise and clean holes are required. It is also very suitable for drilling wood and plastics, and can be used in alloyed and unalloyed steels up to 900 N/mm² tensile strength.
