Extreme 2 is the specialist for freehand drilling in thin-walled materials. It features a continuously increasing core diameter towards the shank for maximum break stability during freehand use (from Ø 4.8 mm). The abrasion-resistant size markings are located outside the clamping area for long-lasting readability (from Ø 5.0 mm). A non-slip shank with three milled clamping surfaces prevents the drill from slipping in the chuck (from Ø 5.0 mm). The iron oxide alloy effectively protects against overheating and ensures perfectly round drill holes with clean, nearly burr-free edges.

The drill offers up to 50% increased break strength and break stability. It starts immediately upon contact, eliminating the need for centering. The Extreme 2 center point allows for precise spot drilling without tearing out, while specially ground shoulder cutting edges mill exact, round holes with clean edges (from Ø 4.8 mm).

Application examples include use in alloyed and unalloyed steels up to 900 N/mm² tensile strength, drilling of sheet metal and thin-walled profile materials (as well as pipes without pre-drilling), where precise and clean holes are required. It is also very suitable for drilling wood and plastics.
