With the cm900 it is not possible to cut without a mat, it always needs a mat. There are 2 sizes 30 x 30 cm or the long 30 x 60 cm. The width is limited to 30 cm. Maximum length of 60 cm (conditional on the 30 x 60 cm mat) If this is an important criterion to plot longer than 60 cm, the design must be assembled. In addition to the cm900, I have the cameo 3 from Silhouette America. The width is the same as the cm900, but it can cut overlength (up to 3 metres, I think).

Hello Jennifer, have you assigned the operation (line command) "Draw" to the lines in Canvas? You can see this for each individual line in the properties. Also check the layers, all layers on which objects are to be drawn must have the property "Draw" assigned and be visible. If all lines/objects are set to "Draw" and you then transfer them, the file should be visible for drawing. LG. Petra

- Is the ScanNcut CM900 suitable for this? With the long cutter (should be the blue one), it should be possible, but it will wear out the mat underneath pretty quickly. - Does it cut (clear) edges accurately? Yes - Can I set a distance to the edge? Unfortunately I do not know - Would I need additional blades etc.? Depending on how often and on what material the blade is used, spare blades are needed (or ways to sharpen a very small blade) - Would you recommend a different model? Am very satisfied with the most comprehensive model Something to consider: the cutting process is very noisy and takes quite a long time depending on the outline. If it is preceded by scanning, outline settings (I'm almost sure you can define a distance) etc. the process can be quite protracted if, for example, a whole school class wants to cut out their laminated projects. The larger backing mat would therefore be recommended in order to process several at once.

I use the Scan N Cut CM 900 from Brother. It comes with 2 cutting mats 12 x 12 inch (305 x 305 mm) and 1 x 24 inch (305 x 610 mm) this is the limited working area, because without a mat it is not possible to plot endlessly with Brother, you would have to choose Silhouette for example. From mid-October the bigger Brother will be available, which can do a lot more, but the working area is limited, just like with the cm900. I am very happy with the cm900, only the softwear is bad, but I use other printers and only use Canvas to send the files to the plotter.

On Brother's support page there are overviews of the premium functions and pattern collections. Unfortunately, they are very confusing and without a price, or I haven't found anything yet. These functions and patterns are activated via a code that you receive when you buy the machine.

Our prices are always dependent on various factors, such as the purchasing conditions of the supplier. We also work with daily prices. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you whether and to what extent the price will be lower in the future. I ask for your understanding.

Hello Lenyton, it has some lettering already stored in the plotter. Therefore it is very easy to write a text. You just have to make sure that you have the special film for the windows on the car. There are some with small holes, look at the windows of delivery vans or field workers, they have them. If you write something small, it should not be a problem with the normal film. The visibility while driving should not be impaired at all. Otherwise the police can fine you. Greetings Ramona
