Helpful answer

I actually had a SoniCare FlexCare which failed overnight. After dismantling it because it was out of warranty, it was filled with toothpaste and a bit of water too... I bought a new DiamondClean and made the effort to wipe the motor shaft after each tooth cleaning to avoid this. I also took the extended warranty to 5 years (the other one failed after 2.5 years). Otherwise I am happy with it and so is my hygienist...

All DiamondClean models perform 31,000 brush head movements/min. The information on the Philips website is incorrect and will be corrected immediately, according to Philips. Thank you for pointing this out.
