If you use the monitor as a USB hub, you can connect any USB audio devices.
If the audio signal comes via HDMI or DP, the internal speakers are used (moderate quality). Alternatively, you have a 3½ mm jack plug to which you can connect headphones or an amplifier with speakers, for example. As soon as something is plugged in, the internal speakers switch off.

Yes, that should work. I don't know this drawing display, but I have also connected another monitor to the Thunderbolt output of the BenQ (via USB-C -> DisplayPort adapter). This works perfectly on my MacBook Pro.

3 seconds in both directions (Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI 1 and back). I don't switch often during the day and therefore find it bearable.
Here's what bothers me more: I have my keyboard and mouse attached to the monitor. When the computer is asleep and my monitor is asleep, I can't wake up the computer with the keyboard or mouse.

I have the PD3220U and am extremely satisfied with it. I can't make a direct comparison with the PD2720U. Connections seem to be identical, but what could be another argument for the smaller size for you (besides the price) is the maximum brightness, which is stated as 350 instead of 300 in the 27".
N.B. The brightness of the 32" is perfectly adequate for me. The only thing that bothers me about the PD3220U is that it takes a relatively long time to rub the sand out of my eyes after my MacBook Air M1 wakes up from sleep in a flash - it takes quite a long time (about 1 min) until the external monitor shows a picture again. But that could also be due to the Mac

I also bought the screen for my home office. My business notebook is a Lenovo T470p and my private one is a MacBook Pro 13" (Late 2016). Switching between the two works perfectly for me. The Lenovo is connected via DisplayPort and USB and the MacBook via Thunderbolt.
Now to the question of whether the speakers are usable: I think that depends a lot on your expectations. I'd say they're better than the built-in speakers on my Lenovo, but compared to the built-in speakers on the MacBook, they're clearly inferior (at least to my ears :)). So the speakers of the screen are ok for office tasks but nothing more. Hope this helps.
a 15" Macbook Pro late 2018 with TouchBar is charging on the USB-C port, only have a USB-C port connected from the MacBook Pro to the BenQ and no additional power supply in use.
I think this is normal. There is usually a gap of about 1-2 mm between the casing and the display. In my case, the gap is not evenly large everywhere.

This only works if you have previously connected the macbook with the screen open.
(but this is due to macOS and not the screen...)

I honestly haven't found out, but what I can say is that it only has 1x DP and 1x USB hub connector, so you are already limited...
