Icy Box IB-DK2241AC - USB Type-A 3.0 Multi Dock

This cable should go. Delock USB A - USB B (1 m) Have a nice Sunday evening
Hi Sandrogamito. I am not sure that this is possible. USB 3 only has a limited bandwidth. And the ports are often combined internally on the board on the same hub for cost reasons and then Bluetooth, NFC, WLAN and whatnot are attached to it. I know that this dock can support resolutions up to QHD, but only on one port. Then only FullHD is possible on the second port. Or 2 FullHD at the same time. And you can't connect them in series. If you had 2 completely separate USB3 ports, that might work. But that never happens in notebooks. Please inform yourself at Icy and also at DisplayLink. The chipset that is built into all these docks comes from them. What might work is a USB adapter that contains 2 graphics cards. These are available from Startech, for example, and are quite expensive. Please read here very carefully what they can do, otherwise you may have the wrong one. The differences lie in the details. Regards André
Power supply unit is included. Must be connected to the power supply (normal socket).
yes it is, the box comes ready for use
No, that does not work. The docking station is connected via a USB-A port and the power supply of the dock would also be too weak to charge a notebook. It is not a Thunderbolt or USB-C dock but works via DisplayLink.
yes, you can connect it. better is relative, there is a usb docking station from lenovo that works similarly.
The Icy-box cannot charge, a power supply unit for the laptop is needed in any case. Otherwise, the thing works super simple. Win10 recognises and installs, then just adjust the screen position. eh voila
Yes, DisplayLink drivers are required. And talking to the IT department is not possible when you explain what you want to do? After all, the company would also benefit if you can work more effectively and productively with a docking station.
This should be compatible with each other.
Yes, this works, there is a video in the picture section which shows this again. :)
The ICY box is only an extension for a laptop (analogue to a USB hub). So in other words NO. Otherwise you would have to buy a suitable docking station for the device. With such a docking station, this requirement would (partially) apply. However, such a docking station can only be used for one type of device.
The unit does not have wLan. It has an RJ45 connection.
It should not be the 3.5mm sound connection, which can be stereo. Possibly the driver settings of the sound card? If you plug directly into the notebook and then stereo comes up, it's because of the docking.
I have connected two external monitors to this docking station (to DVI and to HDMI). The desktop of the notebook can thus be extended to the two monitors. Everything runs very reliably and without problems Operating system: Windows 10, latest version
Hello, I don't know...installed on a Win 10 notebook.
Yes, no problem. What is more important is which device you want to use the docking station with.
Hello I definitely have two connected. It works perfectly. However, I wouldn't necessarily expect a huge performance (for games or something). For something like that, you would certainly have to use a real graphics card. Otherwise good price-performance ratio
The desktop can be extended. I use the dock with a laptop and thus have 3 screens next to each other.
The Surface models have a USB 3.0 port, so they will also work on this docking station.
