You can use the Lodge 26.04 cm Cast Iron Skillet on a glass cooktop, but you need to take some precautions to avoid damaging the surface. Here are the key points to consider: - Clean and Dry Bottom: Ensure the bottom of the pan is clean and dry before placing it on the glass cooktop. - Avoid Sliding: Lift and gently place the cookware on the stove instead of sliding it, which can cause scratches. - Risk of Cracking: Be careful when setting the pan down to avoid cracks and damage to the glass. By following these guidelines, you can safely use your cast iron skillet on a glass cooktop.

You don't need to. You can pre-cultivate it. It will become knobbed over time. Never scrub the bottom of the pan when washing with a hard brush. Hot water, a drop of washing-up liquid (optional) and a soft brush are all you need. Pre-heat the pan to low-medium heat. Before storing, wipe the pan with a paper towel soaked in oil to prevent rust. My 2 cents

Hello Unfortunately I don't know that I still have a conventional cooker. Otherwise I am very happy with the pan. It is ideal for braising dishes.

I mean the cast iron pan is already baked and has a "patina" which serves as a natural coating. Cast iron pans usually have to be baked at home before they can be used. Please inform yourself well about how to use them before you buy such a pan. Then they are super 👍🏻

Yes, I have the same one and everything works wonderfully on a glass ceramic cooker. But you have to season the cast iron pan or you will get rust stains, there are enough videos on YouTube about it.
