Hello I hope you can relate to "the noise level of the device is quite normal" ;) I already had the predecessor, and it wasn't particularly loud either. Definitely a high-quality device that is rather quiet for this category of device. Another plus point compared to the predecessor, the power supply unit is much smaller and lighter. LG

I've had the unit for 2 years and I'm still happy with it/no problem. You can set 7mm by taking the 6mm comb and setting 1.7mm on the unit. 3mm and 4mm are included. Only 2.5mm is not possible.

No, unfortunately that is not possible. 0.8mm is the smallest. 0.0mm is shaving and no longer cutting. The scissors still have to reach the hairline without damaging the scalp. You may also be confusing mm with cm, because 0.8mm is already very small. For comparison: a fingernail is about 0.5mm thick.

No, it works well for me because I tend to wear it short, 4-6mm is perfect. It's just always a huge mess with the hair because it spikes everywhere. Otherwise I am very satisfied.

It's not really suitable for trimming beards as far as I'm concerned... (too wide a blade) there are certainly better ones... I only use it to cut my hair and it's really great for that...

No, unfortunately not. The smallest Panasonic trimmers are currently articles 5765071 + 5765090 (ER-GP21-K801 + ER-GP22-K801 ). Both were released at the beginning of 2016. Unfortunately, they do not have the rotary wheel for adjusting the cutting length.
