Hello Raphael
Netflix app is available, Spotify is not (yet?).
Your TV does not need SmartTV functionality to fully use Apple TV.
Apple TV supports 4k HDR content, so to use it, the TV should also support 4k, HDR10 or even better DolbyVision. This also requires an HDMI 2.0 interface with HDCP2.2 support.
HDMI CEC is also very practical, as the TV switches on automatically as soon as Apple TV starts.
Greetings,
Chris
In principle, HDMI should be downward compatible.
But compatibility has its pitfalls ... you would have to watch it with this Apple TV and your TV...
Google it and see if you can find anything ...
Based on my research, Apple TV is unfortunately not supported by Vavoo. We currently only deliver within Germany or to Switzerland and Liechtenstein via our Swiss portal.
With the Apple TV 4k, Dolby Atmos support is only a software update. Atmos support comes with the current TV OS (analogue to iOS 12, but I think it has a different number). I installed it 3 weeks ago and the sound is really great!
Hm, as far as I know there is no 128GB Apple TV box.
Once, in version 1, there was a choice between 40GB and 160GB hard disk. From version 2 onwards, however, the internal memory was already converted to flash. In the current version 4 or 4K, you can choose between 32 or 64GB internal flash memory (~1000 times faster than HD). This is actually enough to store a few applications (apps).
It is important to know that the internal memory has nothing to do with performance or judder. What is primarily important is that a good internet connection with sufficient bandwidth is available. If all the forums are to be believed, you should have no problems with 16Gbit/s or more. Even an entry-level subscription at green.ch or upc.ch already offers more than 40Gbit/s.
In addition, the main processor and, of course, the graphics processor are responsible for the performance of the box, i.e. the processing of the data and its speed, and the cache memory is responsible for the data buffering. Please note that the cache memory has nothing to do with the 32/64GB internal memory. Cache buffers the data until it is retrieved by the processor. If the data is not in the cache and has to be reloaded, jerking may occur.
Here too, the new Apple TVs have a much larger and also faster cache than the old ones. Version 1 is equipped with 256 MB, version 2 with 256MB, version 3 with 512 MB, version 4 with 2 GB and version 4K with 3 GB.
Of course, the content and quality of the programmes have also changed considerably and the demands on the boxes are correspondingly higher.
I operate my Apple 4K box on a 55Gbit/s connection and have connected the box with cable, i.e. via LAN. I tried it via WLAN and did not experience any problems, but please note that a WLAN connection can also become a bottleneck depending on the distance and signal quality to the router/hot spot.

So it should work.

Yes, it does. digitec probably just forgot to enter that in the specs. Apple writes in the specs: "Gigabit Ethernet" and the RJ-45 connection can also be seen in the picture.
The first generation supports "only" HDMI 2.0a, which is still the current sand.
Theoretically, a resolution of up to 10K and 120 Hz transmissions are possible with HDMI 2.1. Whether it matters therefore depends largely on which device you want to connect the Apple TV to.
Hello
Unfortunately, there is no HDMI cable included in the delivery. The Lightning cable is a connection cable such as USB. Lightning can be used to transfer data or charge devices. For example, you can use it to charge the remote control of the Apple TV.
Included in delivery: Apple TV 4K, Apple TV Remote, power cable, Lightning to USB cable, documentation.
