Based on the description not, you need and poe switch or injector.
The Long Range version has 4x4 antennas and the Lite version only 2x2, which means that the Long Range AP can serve more devices simultaneously and has twice as many antennas, which is why the Long Range is also significantly larger. The radiation protection values do not restrict this (see also OFCOM https://www.bakom.admin.ch/dam/bakom/de/dokumente/bakom/telekommunikation/Technologie/WLAN/factsheet_wlan.pdf). What can be restrictive, depending on where you live, are technical radio networks for aircraft etc., as soon as your WLAN "sees" such a network, it has to switch to a low flame. However, this is a global restriction and not specific to Switzerland. When buying WLAN access points, I recommend always looking at the specifications of the MU-MIMO antennas and preferring the models with 4x4 or 3x3. The 2x2 models are only suitable for rooms with very few clients.
Yes this works
Not at all, but the 1GBps were not the bottleneck until now, but the radio technology WiFi 5 and below. WIFI 5 still worked in such a way that the entire data highway had to be directed from one device to the next, which is very inefficient. With each additional device that connects to the AP, the connection becomes noticeably slower because the device has to wait until the other devices have been served and it is its turn to receive/send data again. This shortcoming is the reason why WIFIs in public areas hardly work or do not work at all. With WIFI 6, this should finally change as several devices can receive and send data simultaneously. Thus, WIFI 6 has few advantages in small home networks with few active devices and is even more expensive. Only when the network is scaled up and many clients that support WIFI 6 are within range of the AP(s) can WIFI 6 really show its strengths. I have 2 in my apartment and 1 in the basement which also beams down through the beton floor into the underground garage. Based on my experience you will have no problems. All are wall mounted. I highly recommend them. I also set up a VPN on the system so that I can watch live Zattoo TV when in Spain. Otherwise with a Spanish IP address, I can only view recordings. Its a great system.
Both are designed for indoor and outdoor use. Both offer versatile mounting options. It rather depends on what you need. The U6 LR, for example, offers WIFI6. Perhaps the U6 Mesh would also be something for you? Ubiquiti UniFi U6 Mesh (4800 Mbps, 573.50 Mbps)
Unfortunately, we do not currently have any information on this. Our suppliers are currently unable to procure the requested item.
This is a good idea and should prevent any more WLAN problems. Please note that a controller is required to configure the Ubiquiti APs, which you can either buy as hardware (called Cloud Key) or download as software and install in a VM. A controller can manage multiple devices.
See price development, in the last 3 months the price fluctuated from 192 to 219 francs. Supply and demand. Yesterday the product was cheaper, today it is no longer... Unfortunately, you missed the window of opportunity. But there is still the possibility to buy used (controlled) products. The price is still 192.60.
Hoi - I can't tell you anything about the health aspects (as probably others can) - but you can turn down the radio power... my Ubiq-AP is currently, as I write these lines, mounted on the ceiling about 1.50 m behind me... and on minimum power - so far I haven't grown a third ear or anything... LG
I ordered mine in March and received it in October ;-)
At least for the initial configuration a controller is needed. Either a cloudkey, or self-hosting of the UniFi Network Application. https://www.ui.com/download/unifi/ The device is quite suitable for home use.
