oh yes. the same with us. Lately, connectivity to the server has been extremely poor. I can't get any further with customer service either. It's a tragedy. But it's just an English product. We once lived and worked in England for a year, so we're not surprised. We are now stoically accepting this and making sure that the tigers are never locked in or out and hope that the problem will be solved by the holidays. The problem is that this is a free service. Perhaps the manufacturer should find a different solution. Pet owners are always willing ;) and motivated

What do you mean by rattling? The cracking sound when the distance sensor is activated or when the plastic door comes up against the wedge? Firstly: It is possible that other animals (including insects, snails, etc.) trigger the activation of the flap, simply clean/shoo them away briefly. Secondly: Draughts, vibrations in the environment, wind. The flap makes no noise from any of these.

the cat scalp does not connect to the hub

If the SureFlap cat flap does not connect to the hub, this is usually due to range problems, interference or incorrect pairing. Make sure that the hub is connected to the router via LAN and that the LEDs are solid white. Position the cat flap 1-2 metres away from the hub for pairing and repeat the connection process. Remove the batteries from the flap for 10-15 seconds and then restart the pairing process. If necessary, restart the router and check that neither the guest network nor the parental controls are active. If it still does not work, carry out a complete reset of the hub and cat flap and try pairing again. If the connection still fails, there is most likely a defect in the wireless module, in which case only SureFlap customer service can help.

Helpful answer
The SureFlap Connect Hub can only be connected to SureFlap cat flaps that carry the Connect symbol, i.e. are specially designed for connection to the hub. A conventional microchip cat flap without the Connect function is not compatible. To be used with the hub, it must therefore be a SureFlap cat flap with Connect technology. This allows you to control and monitor the flap via the app.

The cat flap must be connected to the hub to work fully with the Sure Petcare application. The hub acts as a link between the cat flap and the application, allowing you to control access, receive alerts and manage settings remotely. It is not possible to use the connected cat flap without the hub, even if you plan to buy the hub later.

Yes, this works with the SureFeed automatic feeder. This means you have worldwide access to the automatic feeder with the app and can call up the feed quantity and battery level. You can also zero the integrated scales and programme them for the feed quantity. You also receive push notifications when the feeder is filled and when the cat has eaten.

They must all be products in the SureFlap Connect line (e.g. SureFlap Cat Flap Connect): The other SureFlap products (without Connect in the name) all have no possibility to connect to the SureFlap Connect Hub.

The arrangement described works identically and without problems for us. There is about 13m and one floor in between.

The hub is well compatible (it is recommended - without it you can't use the app). The Surfeed doesn't seem to be able to connect to it though, no info on that unfortunately. And the hub allows you to manage several cats with the door.
